Dancing Fountain

     Las Vegas! It is the city of dreams, colors and emotions. The city where my heart became a slave, the slave of pure love..!

     It was summer. My friends and I wanted to go to somewhere new where we had never been before. So we came to a decision to go to Las Vegas. The first thing which we did in Las Vegas was visiting fountains of that city, but I did not even imagine that those fountains would change my life to 180 degrees.

     That day was Open Party in the area of fountains. All of us took part in that party. My friends danced, ate, drank, and swam. Only I walked, and enjoyed myself watching the beauty of the nature. While walking I heard somebody's voice. Someone was singing, and it seemed as that voice was calling me. I found the voice.

     There was a small cafe near those fountains. I entered the cafe, and sat out in the crowd. They came to hear him play. At that really moment I wished that I would be in his arms like his Spanish guitar, and he would play me through the night till the dawn. I wished that he would hold me in his arms like his Spanish guitar all night long. His magic voice enchanted me. I was hooked to his chain. I wanted his eyes to find me from that crowd of people. At last, he found me. I did not want his eyes to lose me. He was singing a song “Dancing Fountain”, and it became the melody of our love…

How to develop self-confidence?

     Self-confidence is a key to success and happiness. Self-confidence helps a person to achieve a successful life. It is all about believing in yourself, and having a faith in what you do. What will happen if we have lack of confidence? I think that the lack of self-confidence can be destructive for a person. In order to achieve success, a person should build confidence in him or herself. For instance, sometimes my confidence is high as the sky, and I feel like nothing can stop me, and at other times, it is at the rock bottom. In such situations I use four steps of developing self-confidence. They are: believing in yourself, feeling yourself important, realizing failure and identifying your success.

     The first step is believing in yourself. A person who believes in him or herself can achieve everything he or she wants. When I was a pupil at school, I always hesitated to do something, but my mother told me to do a thing which I believed to be right, even if others criticized me for it. My mother's words really helped me to believe in myself. After that, I used to do things which I thought right. As it is said: “Put your future in good hands-your own.” It means that first of all every person should believe in himself, and then others will believe in him too.

     The second step is feeling yourself important. In my opinion, a person can feel himself important when he understands that someone needs him, or he has places to visit, people to meet, and important work to do. Before winning the Educational grant Program of Fund Forum, I did not feel myself so important as I feel myself now. But after winning that grant, I found such kind of feelings in myself that I could not explain. I began to do important things, visit important places, meet with important people. I can say that important things that you do make you also feel important. The secret to inner confidence is to know your value and to feel yourself important.

     The next step is realizing your failure. Every time you fail you become stronger than before, and as Peter T. Mcintyre said: “Confidence comes not from always being right, but from not fearing to be wrong.” It means that we should admit our mistakes, and learn from them. By realizing our failure, we will get ready to the difficulties of this world. Every time we fail, we learn and increase our inner strength. So, every failure can make us more likely to succeed.

     At last, identifying our success is one of the steps of developing our self-confidence. Everyone is good at something, so we should discover the things that we accomplished. We should be proud of our own talents, and show them to others. What if we do not have any successful accomplishments? We should find something that we enjoy. We should believe that we were born with talents, and we can develop our talents.

     By following these four steps, I always develop my self-confidence. These steps always help me to find motivation, enthusiasm and eagerness to believe in myself, and show others that I can be confident, successful, and I can do things like others, or even more. Self-confidence builds success, and no one can take it away from you! 

Presenting New Language

It is known that every teacher should know how to present new language items to learners. As we are future teachers we should know how to present them.  This article shows what benefits it can offer us when we need to present something new to our students.

     In this article there are given two approaches for the differing techniques we can use – deductive and inductive. While reading these two ways of presenting new language I understood that learners are independent in the inductive way, and they are dependent in the deductive way. Because the inductive way makes students work on their own. In this situation the teacher is only guide for presenting new language items. But does this way support our students’ learning fully?

     However, the deductive way makes learners work with the teacher, and the lesson is controlled by the teacher. But does it give learners the chance to develop their strategies and learning styles?

     I think that the inductive way of presenting new language is difficult for our learners. For instance, when we do something in the inductive way, it takes too much time and hard work. Sometimes we do not understand what we are doing exactly.

     In order not to make any difficulties in learning something we should mix these two ways. So that we can keep balance in presenting new language. Or as it is written in the article we can start with a deductive approach, and then move on to a more inductive way of learning.

Prejudice

     Prejudice is an opinion that was formed before knowing someone or something well. It causes the discrimination of people. “Never judge a book by its cover” – it is what all nations always remind people. It means that we should not prejudge others by their appearance, especially when it is formed without enough thought or knowledge.

     I am the fan of Indian films. I get information about the lifestyles of Indian people while watching their films. In India, as I observed, people do not invite widows to the wedding parties. Because they think that widows can bring unhappiness to the new bride and groom's life. And also widows cannot start a new life after their husbands’ death. In one of my favourite Indian film which is called “Father In-law” we can observe the act of prejudice when father in-law wants his daughter in-law to be happy and cheerfully after his son's death. When relatives whose minds were full of prejudices were against of the widow's new marriage he said: “The person's life is the most important gift which is given by God, any prejudice must not make widows to suffer and live as dead people. Why we-people cannot change our belief? Why we let prejudice make our lives full of problems?” The great king and poet, who is well-known in Uzbekistan, India and other countries, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was disappointed when he faced the prejudice of the widow's life. Because widows were burnt after their husband's death. In order to help the Indian nation, Babur had to be against the Indian king Ibrohim Lodi and have wars. After the war between Babur and Lodi many widows anyway burnt themselves after their dead husbands. Because those strong beliefs were kept in their minds. Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur realized that his efforts were unsuccessful against such kind of prejudice. 

    

     Sometimes people prejudge others by their appearance. I noticed that blonde girls are thought to be silly, dumb and light-minded. Maybe that is why, blonde girls are the symbol of dumbness in many films as “The father's five daughters”. This prejudice seems funny and ridiculous for other people, but it is irritating for blonde woman. However, there are blonde women who can show that it is wrong. The best example is Gulnora Karimova who is famous for the nickname of Googoosha. She is very clever, creative and forward-looking. She is the leader of Fund Forum and other national projects. Many Uzbek women admire her stable and strong character and try to look like she is. I am also a blonde girl. I am sure that I will be determined and self-confident like Gulnora Karimova, and prove that the prejudice about blonde girls is not right.

     In my conclusion, I want to say that we should prejudge no one or nothing without knowing it well.  Because it would be the reason for different misunderstandings between people. That is why, we must not let our prejudice blind us!

ANNIVERSARY

“Anniversary“was written by Amy Gutman. The idea for the “Anniversary“says Gutman, came from a memoir written by a one-time girlfriend of serial killer Ted Bundy. The novel begins with the words “Happy Anniversary. I have not forgotten you.” Three different young women, Callie Thayer, Melanie White and Diane Massey receive the same mysterious note. Their only connection is someone they knew in the past, a devious but charming killer, who took the lives of more than a hundred victims. But he was executed for his crimes – exactly 11 years ago. Who could be writing these notes? Who could want revenge?

Steven Gage is one of the popular serial sex killers. He kills many young girls by torture. He is sexual psychopath, but he has a girlfriend, Laura Seton. Laura several times sees unusual things in her boyfriend's bag, but she does not pay attention for them. Everyday Steven kills his young victims one by one, and his last victim is Dahlia Schuyler, who is twenty years old blonde girl. One day Laura hears about Dahlia's death, and about all evidences of the crime. She realizes that the killer is her boyfriend, Steven Gage. She tells about her doubts the police. Laura testifies against him at trial. Melanie White, his lawyer would not manage to save him. Diane Massey would be the first writer who questions his intelligence by writing a book “The Vanishing Man: The Secret Life of Serial Sex Killer Steven Gage”. All of them betray him. He would be sentenced to the death. He says that he would avenge them.

After this event Laura leaves Nashville for Merritt. She changes her name into Callie Thayer. She is married to Kevin Thayer, and they have a girl, Anna. After several years of marriage they would be divorced. Callie meets with Rick Evans, and they become closer. At that time Callie would be very happy, because she has people who loved her, lover and daughter. But one note disturbs her peaceful life. Not only her life, also Melanie White's and Diane Massey's. Steven Gage is gone. The only person who could send them notes would be Lester Crain; Gage and Crain meet each other on Tennessee's death row, and quickly forge an alliance. Crain becomes his disciple. Crain promises to repay Gage's favor someday. Lester Crain escapes from prison. The experts predict that Crain would kill again. And somehow they would be right. 

Callie worries about it. After getting notes someone kills Diane, someone tries to kill Melanie, someone kills Callie's worker, Posy Kisch and someone kidnaps Callie's daughter.  These events become the secret for everybody. Callie begins to suspect her friend Nathan Lacoste, neighbors and her lover of a crime. But the criminal is Tucker Schuyler, Dahlia's brother. Tucker kills Diana Massey, tries to kill Melanie White, and kidnaps Anna. But Posy Kisch would be killed by Lester Crain. Tucker Schuyler does not simply stop, he tries to kill Callie. But Rick Evans saves her life. The police arrest the criminal. Callie finds her daughter, and becomes to live happily with her family. This is the end of the novel. When I finished the “Anniversary” I was glad by the happy end of the book. It is a book for people, who are fond of mystery and adventure. It is a novel with wide vocabulary. After reading it your vocabulary will be sound. “Anniversary” will fire the figment of your imagination. I recommend everybody to read this novel.

My Business Plan

Business plan is a document about your actions that must be done in order to realize your business ideas. When you want to run your own business, you should have a good business plan which will help you to succeed. However, not everyone knows how to make a business plan. And I am not an exception.

 A year before I also did not have any thoughts about making a business plan. But my father gave me a crash course about it. He filled me in on what the business plan involved, but he did not tell me that I would have to do so much work. Because the process of making a good business plan depends on several factors.

First, you should choose the type of the product that you will produce. Second, rent a place where there are crowd of people. Next take a credit, if you do not have money to run your business. Hire the workers. Think about the realization of your products. At last, in order not to miscalculate, make right calculations.

Despite these difficulties, I gave it a shot. I made my “Candy Shop” business plan which would produce only candies; chocolate and hot chocolate products made only from real cocoa beans, and would sell them at this place. In my business plan I wrote about my place where I would produce the products, about 13 400 000 sums of credit, which I would take from the Microcredit bank. And also I added some information about my future workers to my business plan. 

I worked towards making a complete business plan. I did what I could, with what I had. And I think , I will get ahead in this business!

How would your life change if you suddenly became a member of opposite sex?

From the beginning of the life on the earth the humanity has been divided into two groups: men and women. Adam and Eva were the first examples of that division. I suppose that as all people on the earth they also wanted to be in each other's places; like Adam wanted to play Eva's role, Eva wanted to play Adam's role in their life. If their life were like that, how would it change? Sometimes I also think how would my life change if I suddenly became a member of opposite sex? The reason is that the girls cannot make full use of the possibilities as the boys. And if I were a boy, my life would change from its different sides. First, I would have a chance to go to everywhere I want, such as foreign countries, different holidays and festivals. In addition, I would get a job which is not available for all girls, like a pilot, an ambassador, a hotel manager and etc. I could open new possibilities for my way to succeed. Because of our mentality we-girls cannot do anything, go to anywhere we want. As a result, many girls will become a person who does not have enough worldwide knowledge; they cannot find their places in our society. Second, I would be a gentleman. Because last week I saw two boys when I got on the bus; none of them gave me a seat.  Are there any gentlemen on our planet? At that time I wanted to be a boy, and to give a seat to a girl. Consequently, I would get respect from the girls. If all boys do such kind of action, they will be at the center of people's attention. At last, if I were a boy I would be faithful to my second half. If people are faithful to each other, they will live together, and will be happy forever. Occasionally, I think that being a member of opposite gender is one of my dreams. But it will be better if everything is in its place; boys are on their, girls are on their positions in the entire world!

The Place I Want To Be

  

     Each person has a place where he calms down, enjoys himself. And I am not an exception. 

     Just imagine the sea, and near the sea there is my dream house in summer. It is not the same

house which everybody has. It makes me feel new feelings, which I have never felt.

     The house has been painted in white colour, and everything in it is white too. There is a big

hall of my dream. It has windows with blue drapes like the colour of the sky and roofs which

were made of glasses. In the middle of the hall there is a red grand piano.

     And who is it at the grand piano? Is it him, whom I always dreamt about? Yes, it is him, my

prince, who came on his white horse! He is playing my favourite and lovely classical music

“ Debussy “. I find it really exciting. When you are together with your prince in such kind of

house, in such kind of romantic atmosphere you can forget all your problems. You can listen to

the song, which comes from the heart of your lover! At the same time, you can listen to the song   

of the nature, the whisper of birds, the sound of the wavy sea!

     At nights lying there, looking at the stars in the sky is the most pleasant activity you can do!

The wind is playing with the drapes of my windows and grasshoppers are making noise as they

want to break the silence. No! They are not breaking the silence, they are also adding more

romance to the atmosphere. And it is the place where I always want to be!

     Every time when I soar about my dreams, I go into my house near the sea to look at the stars

and to feel pure feelings. I look and enjoy the beauty that I have created myself!!!

Уйланиб колдим. Бу кандай тайёргарлик булдики, УзДЖТУ нинг инглиз тили филологияси факультетида билим олмокчи булган абитуриент инглиз тилидан битта булса хам саволга тугри жавоб бермаган булса? Униси хам майли, уз она тилиси булган узбек тили ва адабиёти фанидан битта саволга жавоб берса-я..! Бу ахволни кандай тушуниш мумкин? Бу абитуриентларнинг тест синовларидаги хаяжонлариданми ёки билим савияларининг шу даражада пастлигиданми?
Бунака холат битта эмас, балки бир нечта эканлигидан хайрон колдим. Савол куп, лекин уйлаб уйимга ета олмадим. Уй-хаёллар ичида юртбошимиз И.А. Каримовнинг «Келажак ёшлар кулида!» деган сузлари ёдимга тушди. Бир савол тугилади: Кандай килиб келажагимиз давомчиси мана шу инсонлар булиши мумкин? Келажак шундай ёшлар кулидами? Бундай булишига ким ёки нима айбдор? Куйида келтирилган холатларнинг олдини олиш учун кандай чора-тадбирлар курилмоги лозим?



Жавоб битта! Бундай холатларнинг учрашига сабаб ёшларимизнинг бепарволиги-ю, дангасалиги, уларнинг уз вактида тест синовларига тайёргарлик курмаганликларидандир. Агар 9 йил умумий урта таълим мактаблари, 3 йил академик литсей ва касб-хунар колледжларида берилган таълимни уз вактида узлаштириб, уз устида каттик ишланса, бундай холатларнинг булмаслигига барчамиз аминмиз!
Лекин яна бир нарса бизни уйлантиради. Хар бир инсон узининг нимага кодирлигини жуда яхши билади. Унда нима сабабдан узи билмаган фанларнинг тест синовларидан «ута оламан» деб уйлайди. Балки уша ёшларимиз «тест синовларидан омадим чопиб, утиб коларман» деб уйлагандирлар. Тугри, омадга ишониш керак. Лекин шуни хам унутмаслигимиз лозимки, хар кандай иш замирида 1% омад турса, у билан ёнма-ён 99% мехнат туради. Шунинг учун хам узига ром этувчи ялковликдан сакланиб, охири рохатли мехнат сари илдам кадам ташламогимиз лозим!
Азиз ёшлар, биз хеч кимга карам булмайдиган давр – мустакиллик даврида яшамокдамиз. Бу даврда таълим сифатини ошириш борасида канчадан-канча ислохотлар утказилмокда. Шундай экан, вактни бекорчи нарсаларга сарфламанг. Унинг хар бир дакикасидан унумли фойдаланинг. Укинг, урганинг, хеч качон бир жойда тухтаб колманг! Чунки она диёримиз – мустакил Узбекистонни жахоннинг баланд чуккиларига олиб чикувчилар биз – ёшлармиз! Буни доимо ёдда тутинг!!!

Entry 5: Flyer and Brochure I made

Teehee! Last class we used Microsoft Office Publisher. And I am good at working on Publisher. That is why, I was happy. Our teacher Miss Shakhnoza told us to make a flier and a brochure about anything which we want. And I made a flier about Style.uz festival and a brochure about our IELTE. In those flier and brochure I wrote some facts about Style.uz and the IELTE. I added addresses, phone numbers and all useful information about them. I could boast of my flier and brochure. Because they were one of the best things which I have made in our Computer and Study Skills class. And also our teacher praised me, and said that I should continue studying in such a way!!!

Entry 4: How Well Do I Use Word and Excel

As we all know, Word and Excel are two different programs of Microsoft Office. And last month
we began to work on these programs in our Computer Skills class. First, our teacher taught us how to use Word. Working on Word was very easy. Because I worked on Microsoft Office Word. That is why; I did not have any difficulties while working on it. We made different types of tables. And then we made those tables by using Excel program. But working on Excel was not so easy as working on Word. Because before I did not make such kind of tables in Excel. Our teacher taught us how to use Excel, and make tables in this program. And now I can say that I am good at working on both of these programs!

Entry 3: My wiki project experience

What is Wiki? A wiki is a place where you can create and edit pages and invite other people to collaborate with you. When our teacher told us about wiki, we did not have any ideas about it. But after doing a Wiki project I knew what a wiki is. Our teacher announced us to do Wiki projects about different places of Tashkent. My three groupmates and I worked on one project as a group. Our topic was Restaurants in Tashkent. We went different restaurants in order to gather information about them. We took photos of those restaurants. In www.wikispaces.com we created one page for our group, and started working on project. We put there all our information which we gathered. Of course, while organizing our page we had some difficulties. For instance, inserting images. Adding an image to our page was a real accomplishment. At the beginning we could not include images. Several times we deleted them, and could not return to the page. And also putting a link was difficult. Because we did not know where to write the link. We did them with difficulty. Our tries helped us to create an amazing page. And now our wiki page is one of the best projects in the IELTE. Entry 2: My Test Taking Experience

Test taking is considered as the most important output skill, because it is one of the best ways of checking students’ knowledge. The purpose of taking a test is to prove what we know. That is why; I always try to avoid cramming, and start studying earlier. It really helps, because if we start studying on the first day of class, we will not have any problems during the examination. Before tests I create a practice test, which helps me to review all the themes, and I also find out as much as I can about the test. Before the test taking I decide how to respond on each question. I leave time to recheck my answers. During the taking a test I use “triage” method of answering the questions, dividing the test into three parts:

probables- questions we can answer easily;

possibles- questions we may be able to answer;

long shots- questions about which, we have no idea. 

These divisions help me to answer the questions more easily, help me not to waste my time for thinking about one particularly question. I think that these kinds of best preparations for the tests will help me to get only excellent grades! And what about your experiences from test taking, my dear friend?

Entry 1: The Way I Used to Present in Past and Techniques I Want to Try in Future

In our previous class we learned how to make an effective presentation. Until our previous class I thought that I know everything about making a presentation. But our last classes made me change my opinion. I understood that I should work on my presentations. In order to make them more effective than before. Because my previous presentations did not have an introduction part. I began my presentations from body part. I did not explain what I was going to tell the audience. That was one of my problems.
But our last class taught me about main steps of making presentations and their branches; how to prepare and practice the presentation, how to get the attention of the audience. I also learned the things that I should avoid during my presentations, such as not using body language, eye contact, gestures and etc. And I think, if I follow these rules as much as possible, my future presentations, grades will be better than before. Now I can say that I am ready to begin..!

Entry 10: Making Presentations. What I learned about making effective presentations.

In my point of view, making presentations is the key for good practising. It is the best way to improve my speaking before an audience. It helps me to establish myself as a successful student.
Students are often asked to make presentations to a class. Before entering the University I made many presentations.Nowadays this practice is helping me to make effective presentations in the IELTE.
To make an effective presentation, I always start it early. Because it allows me to deal with the information over a long period of time. I always look at the
content
organization
timing
eye contact
visual aids
and effectiveness of my presentations.
These criterias always help me to hustle and to get excellent grades!!!

Entry 9. My Note Taking Experience

Note taking is one of the skills that needed by us. It always helps to make our study more effectively.
To maintain good notes we should listen and understand the information.
I always take down the most important information in classes. Because they are the primary sources for my study. After classes I go over my notes with my partner to fill some gaps in
information. I also add information from memory , my reading, and my partner’s notes. And if I want to check something, which I did not understand in class , I use a tape recorder.
Because of these strategies my notes are always well-organized, and I keep them in a safe place.
It is not good idea, when we write and then forget about our notes. Of course, we should also review them. That is why, every week I review my notes by making who, what, when, where, why and how questions and study cards.
These techniques always help me to organize the accurate notes. And I will try to follow them.

Entry 8. Time Management Problems

Who is the richest person in the world? It is the person, who has a specific time frame, and who does not have time management problems.
Managing our time is the most effective way to control and manage our life.
I cannot say that I am the richest person in the world. Because I had some problems to manage my study time. I did not do my homeworks on time.
For instance, two months ago I had too much to do at one time, and I could not manage myself and my time effectively. But our teacher, Ms. Shakhnoza taught us how to manage our time well, how to develop and use a timeline, how to prepare and use weekly and daily calendars.
That lesson helped me a lot. Because after that lesson I used a timeline to devide up my work over the weeks of a semester. And now I do not have too much to do at one time!

Entry 6. Tape recording the lecture

One of the ways of developing our listening and note taking is tape recording. Tape recording can be helpful if we have auditory processing difficulties or other learning disabilities.
Sometimes I use this way during our lectures,after getting permission from our lecturer. Because I can listen it again and again. If I do not understand, Ican go back to the tape and relisten it. It also lets me relax, really concentrate on listening without being afraid that I will miss something.
Despite its advantages, taping has some disadvantages too. There is the inconvenience of reviewing a tape. Students will begin to rely on the tape and cease to pay attention during class time. It can be misunderstood. And it has a flat sound.
If we do not have such kind of problems with taping, it can be useful for us.

Entry 7. My Reading Experience

Reading is one of the major input skills we need to work on. It helps us to study more effectively and get excellent grades.
There are 2 major types of reading:
1. Study reading
2. Reading for pleasure
I always do both of these types.Because study reading helps me to gather information to study. For study reading I use techniques of the Preacher’s method, that help me to read more effective-ly. I also use some strategies of reading, such as skimming, scanning and chunking. They increase my reading and save my study time. After reading I ask myself questions and highlight the book.
And when I am tired of gathering information, I like reading for pleasure. Because it gives a great pleasure.
I know, that doing a lot of reading will help to make me a better reader.

Entry 5. My Goals and Objectives

Do you know what is the difference between goal and objective? Goal is the direction we want to follow or end results we want to attain. Objective is the component of our goal.
I think, each person has goals which he always wants to reach. And I am not an exception.
I have so many goals that I cannot count. But I should realize them one by one.
We know that setting goals requires long-range plans, and attaining goals requires long-range activities. If we want to realize our goals, we should make them
S- specific
M- measurable
A- achievable
R-realistic
T- timely
Last year my single goal was to enter the University. I did it SMART. I had plans and activities to realize my goal in 2010 year. I did exercises, tests. It was timely, specific and of course, realistic. That is why, I achieved my goal.
Nowadays, my goal is to get A’s from all subjects. And of course, I will make it SMART too.

Entry 4. My Study Habits and Learning Style

Learning style shows the way how we get new information. Every student learns and processes information in his own special ways. Knowing our own style also can help us to realize that the other people may approach the same situation in a different way from our own.
In one of the lessons of the study and computer skills we knew about learning styles and what kind of learning style does everybody has. And we were divided by our style of learning into 3 groups:
1. Visual learners
2. Auditory learners
3. Kinesthetic learners.

We had a test, which showed us our learning style. The test showed, that my strongest learning style is visual, the lowest is kinesthetic. But I think, I am, to some degree, a mixture of all three learning styles. In spite of all my learning styles, I have some learning disabilities, habits.
The problem is that I do not have a specific time frame. I do not do homeworks, learn new words on time. But now I am trying to give up this habit, laziness. And my tries are beginning to show good results. I have some changes in my learning.
It means, that if we want to get good results in our learning, we should try to do it. If we try, we will not have any processing difficulties and other learning disabilities.

Entry 3. The Language of Study

I have graduated from lyceum this year. Graduating from lyceum was a real accomplishment. After graduating I wanted to continue my education in the Uzbek State World Languages University. Because at lyceum my major was learning foreign languages. I talked it over with my parents and they were agree with my decision.
As you see, I entered this University, the IELTE Program. And my life became hectic. Because I have to study, do my homeworks and help my mother at the same time. As a result, I have a little free time for anything else. But I like studying, studying in this University.
Because there are many interesting things, activities and clubs, which are helping me to learn and practice my English. There are also many experienced teachers who are helping me to develop my different skills. These teachers mark our works, then give us a mark or a grade. I really interested in marks. Because the excellent marks are the sign of my good knowledge and if I get excellent marks, I will get a high scholarship. That is why, I am trying to get excellent marks.
We also have seminars and lectures in our University. I always take lots of notes during our lectures and they always help me to answer to the questions which will be given in the questionnaires of our seminars.
Besides lectures and seminars, I also like the examinations of IELTE and its systems of assessment. Before exams we always do plenty of revision. And it is useful for us. If we always review what we covered, we will not forget anything.
When I came to the IELTE program, I felt new feelings. Because everything was new and interesting. That is why, I love my study in the IELTE!

Entry 2. Debate on Mouse vs. Touch Screen

Technique is always changing. A hundred years ago people did not use such kind of modern things as now. But times change. Even looking back, technique has changed a lot. And there were created many modern things, devices, such as computer, mouse and etc.
But these changes make people choose different technique devices, like mouse and touch screen.
Mouse or touchscreen? Which of them is more useful? We know that the mouse is one of the old input devices , but it is understandable for everyone. We use it to choose commands from the screen by pressing one of the buttons.
But how do we use touch screen? And what is the touch screen? Touch screen is a modern computer device. We use it by touching to the screen of the computer. We do not press any buttons. We only touch on the screen with our fingers and choose commands. Using touch screen is comfortable, noiseless, clear and easier than using mouse. That is why, I prefer touch screen than mouse. It is my choice, but everyone has his own opinions about them.

Entry 1. My First Impression and Expectations

Entering the Uzbek State World Languages University was my dream. When I entered the university I felt myself well. But when I entered the IELTE Program I felt myself really well. I think, that was the best feeling I have ever felt.
The exams of IELTE made me study more better and learn English perfectly. Because after passing all exams I knew the level of my knowledge. My scores were not high. That is why, I decided to learn English as hard as I can and this program is helping me to realize my goal.
I entered the IELTE with great expectations.
IELTE is making me remember that the best way to learn English is by using it. And it is good for me, for my learning languages.
Now I am trying to use English as much as I can during my lessons,at home and with my friends too.
I think I would enjoy studying in the IELTE. I hope, I will be one of the best students and I will try as much as possible. I will do my best to be successful and be of use to this program!!!
