Once a girl went to Kelajak ovozi Summer Training Camp-2011. There she met many people who were the specialists of different spheres. Among them she noticed a young artist who was drawing the picture of the nature. She introduced herself to him, and asked him to draw her portrait. The girl said that she would bring her photos. As she promised, the next day she brought her photos. The artist looked through them, and could not find the suitable one. The girl asked him to choose one photo, but the artist said: “My dear, when I draw a picture I always try to see its soul, inner beauty. You brought me very beautiful photos, but in these photos you have hidden your soul with make-up. In these photos I cannot see the natural beauty. When I do not see the natural beauty, I cannot draw anything.” The next day the girl brought the artist another photo in which she did not put on any make-up. The artist said: “Nothing can change the real-natural beauty..!”
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” It means that not all people have the same opinions about what is attractive. Some people think that when we put on make-up, it will be the real beauty, and some people think vice versa. The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast the natural beauty and cosmetic beauty. The three main differences are time, health, and money.
The most notable difference between these two kinds of beauty is time. When we put on make-up, it takes us too much time. Instead of wasting our time standing in front of the mirror for hours, we can spend our time on useful things such as learning something new, or helping someone and so on. Will make-up give us anything, if we spend our time on it? Of course, no! We should not think that people can achieve renown with their colored substances.
Comparing both types of beauty we can notice another difference. It is health. I heard that even ten year-old girls have started wearing lipstick and make-up in imitation of the older girls. Do not they think about their health? If they put on a lot of make-up, they will have problems with their skin, and also they will get older earlier than usual. Instead of buying these beauty products, they can buy fruits and vegetables that are full of vitamins, and that help to be always healthy.
Yet another difference between these two types of beauty is money. The attractiveness of the natural beauty is that it does not cost too much. But anyway some girls fritter so much money away on expensive make-up. There are some girls who do not work. If they do not work, where will they find money for buying make-up? Of course, they will spend their parents’ money that their parents earned with difficulty. Instead of spending their money on make-up, girls can buy books- keys for their bliss future.
Here are the main differences between natural beauty and cosmetic beauty. As it seems, it comes down to a personal choice based on the time each person has, the attention he/she gives to his/her health, and the money. I prefer natural beauty better than cosmetic beauty, but sometimes it is better to look differently by putting on some make-up. Anyway, whether we put on make-up or not, our souls will not change..!
